EEET 1 - Applied Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technician Certificate

Who should enroll in this programme?

This programme is the ideal introductory programme for you if you are interested in a career as an electrical engineering technician but have little or no experience or qualifications in this field.

Certification

Graduates of EEET 1 will receive certification from the City & Guilds of London Institute and be eligible for entry into the EEET 2 programme.

Entry Requirements

To qualify for entry into this programme, students must satisfy one of the following criteria:

16 years or older and four (4) O’ Level passes inclusive of English & Mathematics; or equivalent qualifications e.g. GCE O’ Levels.

OR

16 years or older, five (5) years exposure to secondary school and successful completion of pre-qualifying programme – please contact office for details.

OR

21 years or older, minimum of two (2) years relevant and verified working experience and evidence of completing secondary education.

Course Content

Students will learn about engineering mathematics and science and be introduced to the electrical and electronic theories, calculations, components, tools and instruments necessary for entry into this exciting field. Students will also perform a variety of electrical and electronic practicals.

  • 8030-21-202 Electrical and Electronic Applications
  • 8030-21-203 Electrical and Electronic Applications Practical Assignments

Programme Fees

Programme fees include registration, examination, lab, course material and tuition fees. This programme is G.A.T.E. (Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses) funded. To access G.A.T.E. and qualify for free tuition for this programme, students must satisfy G.A.T.E. Requirements. For more information on fees please contact one of our many branch offices.

Learning Pathways and Enhancement Programmes

Successful students may progress to our EEET 2 programme. Students may also register for our instrumentation programmes to become multiskilled and more proficient technicians.
