MEEET 1 - Applied Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technician Certificate

Who should enroll in this programme?

This programme is the ideal introductory programme for you if you are interested in a career as an engineering technician but have little or no experience or qualifications in this field.

Certification

Graduates of MEEET 1 will receive certification from the City & Guilds of London Institute and be eligible for entry into the EEET 2 and MEET 2 programmes.

Entry Requirements

To qualify for entry into this programme, students must satisfy one of the following criteria:

16 years or older and four (4) O’ Level passes inclusive of English & Mathematics or equivalent qualifications e.g. GCE O’ Levels.

OR

16 years or older, five (5) years exposure to secondary school and successful completion of pre-qualifying programme – see office for details.

OR

21 years or older, minimum of two (2) years relevant and verified working experience and evidence of completing secondary education.

Course Content

Students will learn about engineering mathematics and science and be introduced to the electrical, electronic and mechanical principles, calculations, components, tools and instruments necessary for entry into this exciting field. Students will also participate in a variety of electrical and electronic practicals and mechanical workshop labs.

Programme fees include registration, examination, course material and tuition fees. This programme is G.A.T.E. (Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses) funded.
