Who should enroll in this programme?

This programme is the ideal introductory programme for anyone who needs to understand the basic principles of health and safety as part of their job. In the modern workplace, this can mean just about anyone.
The qualification is particularly relevant to:

Certification

Graduates of this programme will receive certification from NEBOSH.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this programme. It is however important that learners have a good working knowledge of the English Language in order to understand the concepts and its application.

Course Content

This 18 hour course covers risk assessments and ways to control common workplace hazards such as fire, lifting and carrying, work equipment, electrical safety, hazardous substances and transport.

This programme is divided into two units which are assessed separately:

  • Workplace Safety Foundations (HSW1)
  • Risk Assessment Activity (HSW2)

Learning Pathways and Enhancement Programmes

Successful students may progress to the International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
